Two components determine the output of a PV installation: the array of solar modules (solar generator) and the solar inverter. In order to feed DC from the solar modules into the public grid, it has to be converted to AC using an inverter. This conversion results in losses. Sunways Solar Inverters cut these losses, offering efficiencies of up to 98 percent.
The basis for this exceptional performance never reached before is a unique switching concept known as HERIC topology. The technology was developed by Dr H Schmidt from the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg. Dr Schmidt recently received the Joseph von Fraunhofer Prize 2011 in recognition of his achievement.
Compared with other solutions, Sunwaysâ?? patented HERIC technology offers increased device efficiency resulting in higher output, less waste heat, smaller heat sinks, higher reliability and longer service life.
Sunways Solar Inverter NT 3000
The new NT 3000 is a welcome addition to the Sunways ‘New Technology’ range, which now comprises five single-phase solar inverters with output classes between 2500 and 5000 watts. The NT 3000 is designed for three kW PV systems, which are widely used in Europe and now in net metered systems for Australia. In addition to HERIC topology, all units feature an integrated DC load break switch, effective current flow management, ultra reliable ethernet based monitoring plus advanced communication functionality (CAN bus, External Alarm terminals, Sunways LAN Browser and network connection) as standard.
Central Inverters from the PT Series as Outdoor Models
The Sunways “Performance Technology” series of 30kW central inverters with HERIC topology has just recently been complemented with respective outdoor models.
SUNWAYS GERMAN DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURERED AWARD WINNING SWITCHING INVERTERS
Thanks to its intelligent design, the newly developed housing can withstand a wide range of ambient conditions. A robust mounting base keeps moisture away and offers convenient connection options. Of course, the trademark Sunways communications options are available standard across the range.
Sunways iPhone APP
The new iPhone App facilitates location-independent communication with solar systems from Sunways. It offers users mobile access to the Sunways Portal and connected PV systems. The Sunways Portal can be used to Solar Australia query status information of solar systems and analyse operating data. Any malfunctions can be detected remotely straight away.
