What are the most promising solar technologies over the next 10-15 years?
I am excited most about thin films, but I am also intrigued about the arrays of solar dishes/stirling motors that are going to be used in California.
I was searching for an update to that California project recently, but did not find much. I was also curious, how many years before we can go to ‘Home-Depot’ (for example) and purchase thin film products?

Solar energy is really starting to come around. My hometown, Austin, Texas, is launching an aggressive campaign to Go Solar. I’m hoping it will be sooner than 10 years. Part of Barack Obama’s stimulus plan was to start over a million new green jobs.
