Control population levels = control climate change?
As suggested in the below article, controlling population growth may be a missing factor in the fight for climate change.
Perhaps would have have a “human baby Cap and Trade” scheme where we can add surcharges for excess baby production. Or maybe we could implement a “Baby Credit Trading” system where childless couples can sell “baby credits”. We should certainly do away with adoption which is in excess of acceptable levels.
Any thoughts or comments on this concept (or my attempt at humor)?

“A report in September from the London School of Economics found that contraception is almost five times cheaper than conventional green technologies such as windmills or Solar Panels at combating climate change.”
Anybody have any idea how the conclusion from above report could possibly be arrived at?
The world is not nearly as “overly populated” as some would have you believe. There is still tons of open space. The bigger issue is how the population is raping the natural resources without regard for putting back what is taken. We’d all be just fine if we stopped that. (We need our rain forests and woodlands more than we need redwood picnic benches or decks and we need to stop polluting the oceans and killing the sea life that sustain the majority of the world for food.)
