photo voltic method of generating electrcity and running the compressor for cooling is not so cost effective and requires very big panels.

Frankly your wrong about the big panel thing
we had Photovoltaic shingles installed and you’d never know what they are
even my neighbor didn’t know what they were for over a year
until he asked where he could by roof shingles.
you might want to look into them
cost wise they were the same price as a top of the line shingle
I did the labor myself so I cant talk about that end
