URGENT: What is the difference between a Solar Cell and a solar collector? or are they the same thing?
need to know for summer research thing
In common usage, a “solar cell” would be a Photovoltaic cell for the production of electricity and a “solar collector” would be a unit designed to collect Solar Radiation, but more specifically, to collect heat.
As I indicated above, a solar collector could be a bunch of Photovoltaic Cells mounted in a common framework, but most frequently “solar collector” is used when describing a system that gathers heat.
