What size inverter do i need?
I live in Australia, when at home I plug my RV into 240 volts. When I go camping I use my 3000 watt(3KVA) generator.I don’t have 12volt system for appliances only 240 volt,so for driving and camping I am looking at Solar Panels to charge batteries and use an inverter to run Fridge/freezer,Aircon,TV,toaster,electric kettle,microwave,4 lights,3 desk fans. The stove uses gas.It is not cold where I am so I only use the electric hot water while on 240 volts ,can you advise what size inverter is necessary or a better idea
TRY DVDoverseas.com I never have done business with them personally, you either need to get a 240 volt generator, or figure out what you need online dvdoverseas.com , then see if you can find one there. sounds like you need to go 12 volts dc, to 240v (Hertz is ?) could be 50 hertz, could be 60 hertz (its important to know what this is) charge batteries with generator. It is going to be rated in watts similar to generator, In order to properly find inverter wattage you need, you have to find the ratings on appliances, which may be on a plate on the back, or the bottom or on owners manual for appliance, 3,000 to 4,000 minimum I would think, with a 4 thousand watt being safer bet. If you contact a local rv parts supplier, they should have access to charts that will give you an idea of wattage rating for appliances for rv.
